British Shares up 0.90 pct Thursday-Nov 2
 

British stocks rose on Thursday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.90 percent, or 67.36 points, to close at 7,555.32 points.

Mediclinic International, the international private hospital group, soared 4.07 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Smurfit Kappa Group and Royal Dutch Shell A increased by 3.16 percent and 3.16 percent respectively.

Randgold Resources, the major multinational metal company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 7.23 percent. The multinational pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical company ConvaTec Group dropped 2.92 percent. BT Group, a British multinational telecommunications services company, fell 2.65 percent.
