British stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.00 percent, or 0.19 points, to close at 7,523.23 points.
Standard Chartered, the multinational banking group, soared 3.13 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. NMC Health and Rentokil Initial increased by 2.76 percent and 2.42 percent, respectively.
The major multinational metal company Fresnillo was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 3.60 percent. The multinational consumer goods company Unilever dropped 3.21 percent. Reckitt Benckiser Group, a British health, hygiene and home products producer, fell 2.65 percent.
