British stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.02 percent, or 1.22 points, to close at 7,524.45 points.
GKN, the automotive and aerospace components company, soared 5.14 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Micro Focus International and Associated British Foods increased by 2.19 percent and 1.38 percent, respectively.
The international private hospital group Mediclinic International was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 2.65 percent. The RSA Insurance Group dropped 1.72 percent. ITV, a British media company, fell 1.72 percent.
