British stocks decreased on Wednesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.63 percent, or 46.56 points, to close at 7,387.80 points.
International Consolidated Airlines Group, a multinational airline holding company, soared 3.87 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. EeasyJet and BT Group increased by 2.18 percent and 1.94 percent respectively.
The British luxury fashion house Burberry Group was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 3.45 percent. Shire, a global specialty biopharmaceutical company, dropped 2.52 percent while British financial service company Hargreaves Lansdown fell 2.32 percent.
