British stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.20 percent, or 14.88 points, to close at 7,522.87 points.
NMC Health, a multinational health care company, soared 4.26 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Mediclinic International and Direct Line Insurance Group increased by 3.31 percent and 2.42 percent respectively.
The British multinational utility company Centrica was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 1.69 percent. EasyJet, a British budget airline, dropped 1.64 percent, and Marks & Spencer Group, a British clothing and food retailer, fell 1.52 percent.
