British stocks rose on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up 18.34 points, or 0.26 percent at 7,061.27 points.

Royal Bank of Scotland Group, the major British bank, soared 2.29 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. TUI and London Stock Exchange Group rose by 2.28 percent and 1.94 percent, respectively.

Paddy Power Betfair, a large British bookmaking business, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 2.88 percent. Just Eat, an online food order and delivery company, dropped 2.80 percent. Centrica, the British multinational utility company, dropped 2.17 percent.
