British stocks rose on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.14 percent, or 10.79 points, to close at 7,542.73 points.
Taylor Wimpey, a UK-focused residential developer, soared 1.93 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Worldpay Group and Kingfisher increased by 1.86 percent and 1.31 percent, respectively.
Paddy Power Betfair, the bookmaking business created by the merger of Paddy Power and Betfair, was the worst performer of the blue chips, with its shares losing 4.11 percent.
InterContinental Hotels Group, a British multinational hotels company, dropped 3.99 percent. Provident Financial, a British sub-prime lender, fell 1.69 percent.
