Chinese stocks opened mixed on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.04 percent to open at 3,389.47 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened flat at 11,374.09 points. The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was down 0.05 percent to open at 1,849.32 points.
