U.S. stocks opened higher on Wednesday, with the Dow breaking 22,000 milestone for the first time, as shares of Apple soared following strong quarterly earnings.
Shortly after the opening bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rallied 43.77 points, or 0.20 percent, to 22,007.69. The S&P 500 rose 0.75 points, or 0.03 percent, to 2,477.10. The Nasdaq Composite Index gained 26.68 points, or 0.42 percent, to 6,389.62.
