French shares lost on Friday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.22 percent, or 11.29 points, to close at 5,213.91 points.
Of the 40 selected large companies, 26 lost in the day.
French multinational hotel group ACCOR was down 1.28 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French multinational food-products corporation Danone lost 1.15 percent. European commercial real estate company Unibail-Rodamco lost 1.05 percent.
French tire manufacturer MICHELIN (CGDE) rose 2.96 percent, the top gainer of the day. Finnish multinational technology and electronics company NOKIA gained 2.33 percent. French multinational automobile manufacturer RENAULT was up 1.43 percent.
