French shares advanced on Monday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 up 0.21 percent, or 11.14 points, to close at 5,362.88 points.
A total of 23 of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day.
French advertising and public relations company Publicis advanced 1.33 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. French automotive producer Peugeot rose 1.21 percent. French global healthcare leader Sanofi gained 1.12 percent.
French energy management specialist ENGIE went down by 0.83 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French multinational tire producer Michelin edged down 0.82 percent. Multinational building materials producer Lafarge-Holcim lost 0.81 percent.
