German stocks closed flat on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index up 1.18 points, or 0.01 percent, to close at 12,991.28 points.
Multinational chemical firm Linde won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.91 percent. German airlines Lufthansa and Deutsche Bank rose by 2.00 percent and 1.59 percent respectively.
Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.27 percent. Housing association Vonovia and automotive manufacturer Volkswagen went down by 1.10 percent and 1.01 percent respectively.
Siemens was the most-traded share with a turnover of 488.07 million euros (576.80 million U.S. dollars).
