German stocks closed flat on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 2.40 points, or 0.02 percent, to close at 12,561.79 points.
German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 3.10 percent. German airlines Lufthansa and European mass media company ProSiebenSat.1 rose by 2.29 percent and 1.61 percent respectively.
Industrial giant Thyssenkrupp lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 2.10 percent. German banking and financial services provider Commerzbank, and sportswear and equipment maker, Adidas, went down by 1.31 percent and 0.96 percent respectively.
Deutsche Telekom was the most-traded share, with a turnover of 353.61 million euros (423.34 million U.S. dollars).
