German stocks rose on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 47.97 points, or 0.37 percent, to close at 13,043.03 points.
European mass media company ProSiebenSat.1 won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 1.84 percent. Housing association Vonovia and automotive manufacturer Volkswagen rose by 1.15 percent and 1.10 percent respectively.
Deutsche Boerse group, marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities, lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.72 percent. German semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and sportswear and equipment maker Adidas down by 1.31 percent and 0.94 percent respectively.
Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens was the most-traded share with a turnover of 200.80 million euros (235.91 million U.S. dollars).
