German stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 57.24 points, or 0.46 percent, to close at 12,445.92 points.
Energy group E.ON won the most among the blue chips, with its shares increasing by 2.16 percent.
Multinational chemical firm Linde and housing association Vonovia rose by 2.12 percent and 2.06 percent respectively.
German airlines Lufthansa lost the most among the blue chips, decreasing by 0.58 percent. German sportswear and equipment maker Adidas and European mass media company ProSiebenSat.1 went down by 0.49 percent and 0.43 percent respectively.
German insurance and financial services company Allianz was the most-traded share with a turnover of 232.80 million euros (265.09 million U.S. dollars).
