German shares lost on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index down 91.07 points, or 0.73 percent, to close at 12,325.12 points.
German multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer lost the most among the blue chips, down by 3.98 percent, followed by Automotive manufacturer BMW and German global banking and financial services company Deutsche Bank, which lost 2.14 percent and 1.50 percent respectively.
German maker of sportswear and equipment Adidas, airlines Lufthansa and energy group RWE were the top three winners, rising 2.20 percent, 1.74 percent and 1.62 percent respectively.
Bayer was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 642.25 million euros (732.93 million U.S. dollars).
