Indian markets closed lower Tuesday. Equity benchmarks continued to reel under selling pressure, weighed by index heavyweights ITC and Reliance Industries.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 31,710.99, 363.79 points or 1.13 percent down compared to its previous close at 32,074.78.
