Indonesia shares closed higher by 59.8 point, or 1.02 percent, to a level of 5,900.85 on Friday.

Some 293,307 transactions were booked, involving 7 billion copies of shares with a value of 7.4 trillion rupiah (about 549.8 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers led losers 193 to 131 with 125 remained stagnant.
