Seoul shares ended higher on Tuesday.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) gained 13.9 points, or 0.58 percent, to settle at 2,396.00. Trading volume stood at 280 million shares worth 4.8 trillion won (4.2 billion U.S. dollars).
South Korea's currency finished at 1,151.10 won against the U.S. dollar, down 1.6 won from the previous close.
