Singapore stocks finished higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) rising 5.16 points, or 0.16 percent, to close at 3,323.24.

A total of 2.98 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.79 billion Singapore dollars (about 1.32 billion U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 314 to 168.

The STI index went down 2.59 points, or 0.08 percent, to close at 3,318.08 on Tuesday. Singapore bourse closed for National Day holiday on Wednesday.
