Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) falling 5.85 points, or 0.18 percent, to close at 3320.67.

A total of 1.67 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.06 billion Singapore dollars (about 780.94 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 297 to 171.

The STI index went down 16.4 points, or 0.49 percent, to close at 3326.52 last Friday.
