Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) dropping 46.29 points, or 1.41 percent, to close at 3,230.97.
A total of 1.91 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.18 billion Singapore dollars (about 871.69 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 320 to 129.
The STI index went up 12 points, or 0.37 percent, to close at 3,277.26 last Thursday.
It was a Singapore Exchange holiday last Friday, which was the Hari Raya Haji.
