Spanish shares lost on Monday, with the benchmark Ibex-35 down 0.25 percent, or 25.5 points, to close at 10,360.20 points.
A total of 14 of the 35 selected large companies, lost in the day.
Spain's third largest bank Caixabank was down 1.20 percent, followed by Spain's fourth largest bank Banc Sabadell and Spain's largest bank Banco Santander that lost 0.96 percent and 0.95 percent respectively.
Supermarket chain DIA gained 2.01 percent, being the top gainer of the day. Stainless steel manufacturer group Acerinox rose 1.67 percent and energy and infrastructure company Acciona was up 0.95 percent.
