Spanish shares lost on Tuesday, with the benchmark Ibex-35 down 0.57 percent or 60.4 points, to close at 10,449.10 points.

Of the 35 selected large companies, 24 lost in the day. Airline group IAG was down 1.97 percent followed by chemical and pharmaceutical company Grifols and insurance company Mapfre that lost 1.89 percent and 1.78 percent respectively.

Steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal gained 1.63 percent, being the top gainer of the day. Mass media company Mediaset gained 1.08 percent and stainless steel manufacturer group Acerinox was up 0.94 percent.
