Spanish shares lost on Friday, with the benchmark Ibex-35 down 0.63 percent, or 67.3 points, to close at 10,536.10 points.

A total of 23 of the 35 selected large companies, lost in the day.

Engineering and infrastructure company Tecnicas Reunidas was down 7.05 percent, followed by energy and infrastructure company Acciona and technology solutions provider Amadeus that lost 4.59 percent and 3.48 percent respectively.

Supermarket chain DIA gained 14.99 percent, being the top gainer of the day. Mass media company Mediaset gained 2.68 percent and Spain's third largest bank Caixabank was up 2.07 percent.
