Spanish shares lost on Monday, with the benchmark Ibex-35 down 0.75 percent or 76.6 points, to close at 10,181.40 points.

Renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa was down 6.30 percent, followed by Spain's fourth largest bank Banc Sabadell and telecommunications company Telefonica that lost 2.80 percent and 1.75 percent respectively.

Motorways operator Abertis A advanced 1.03 percent, being the top gainer of the day. Engineering and infrastructure company Tecnicas Reunidas was up 1 percent and Infrastructure company ACS rose 0.77 percent.
