Spanish shares lost on Wednesday, with the benchmark Ibex-35 down 0.83 percent, or 86.4 points, to close at 10,292.10 points.

A total of 28 of the selected 35 large companies lost in the day.

ACS went down by 3.80 percent, followed by Banc Sabadell and Caixabank that lost 3.78 percent and 1.91 percent respectively.

Steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal gained 1.57 percent being the top gainer of the day. Stainless steel manufacturer group Acerinox rose 0.83 percent and Mass media company Mediaset was up 0.74 percent.
