Spanish shares dropped on Friday, with the benchmark Ibex-35 down 0.96 percent or 100 points, to close at 10,357.80 points.

Renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa was down 3.55 percent, followed by Spain's fourth largest bank Banco Sabadell and stainless steel manufacturer Acerinox that lost 2.71 percent and 2.51 percent respectively.

Chemical and pharmaceutical company Grifols advanced 3.57 percent, being the top gainer of the blue chips. Technology solutions provider Amadeus was up 1.22 percent and casing company Viscofan rose 0.61 percent.
