Spanish shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark Ibex-35 down 1.60 percent, or 171.6 points, to close at 10,531.10 points.
Of the 35 selected large companies, 33 lost in the day.
Building and infrastructure company ACS was down 3.90 percent followed by consultancy and technology company, Indra A and chemical and pharmaceutical company Grifols that lost 2.83 percent and 2.69 percent respectively.
Spain's seventh largest bank Bankinter gained 0.17 percent being the top gainer of the day. The supermarket chain DIA gained 0.04 percent while motorways operator Abertis A was down 0.09 percent.
