Spanish shares gained on Friday, with the benchmark Ibex-35 up 0.25 percent or 25.2 points, to close at 10,222.70 points.

Steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal advanced 1.95 percent, followed by consultancy and technology company Indra A and stainless steel manufacturer group Acerinox that rose 1.84 percent and 1.76 percent respectively.

Renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa went down 4.33 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. Media company Mediaset lost 1.93 percent and global operator of services and infrastructure Ferrovial went down 1.63 percent.
