Spanish shares gained on Thursday, with the benchmark Ibex-35 up 0.26 percent, or 28 points, to close at 10,603.40 points.
A total of 21 of the selected 35 large companies gained in the day.
Telecommunications company Telefonica advanced 3.48 percent, the top gainer, followed by Spain's fourth largest bank Banc Sabadell and steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal that rose 1.83 percent and 1.52 percent respectively.
Renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa went down by 17.33 percent. Engineering and infrastructure company Tecnicas Reunidas lost 1.33 percent and mass media company Mediaset lost 1.28 percent.
