Spanish shares gained on Tuesday, with the benchmark Ibex-35 up 0.35 percent or 35.4 points, to close at 10,216.80 points.

Renewable energy company Siemens Gamesa advanced 2.47 percent, followed by airline group IAG and media company Mediaset, which rose 2.24 percent and 1.86 percent respectively.

Hotel chain Melia Hotels went down 1.62 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. Engineering and infrastructure company Tecnicas Reunidas lost 1.01 percent and supermarket chain DIA went down 0.93 percent.
