Spanish Shares Gain 0.48 pct Tuesday-Aug 22

The Spanish Ibex-35 on Tuesday bounced back after several days of losses in the wake of the Barcelona terror attack of August 17.

Share values in Spain increased by 0.48 percent to recover the 10,400 point mark on a day when the performance was aided by confidence shown in Spanish banks.

Acerino, whose shares climbed by 2.39 percent and Indra 2.13 percent, were the day's biggest winners, while Tecnicas Reunidas, whose share value dropped by 1.15 percent and Arbertis 0.45 percent, saw the biggest losses.

The risk premium closed on 105.1 points, while interest on the 10-year bond ended the session on 1.45 percent.
