Spanish shares gained on Tuesday, with the benchmark Ibex-35 up 0.74 percent, or 76.9 points, to close at 10,523.40 points.
A total of 25 of the selected 35 large companies gained in the day.
Spain's fourth largest bank Banc Sabadell advanced 3.69 percent, the top gainer, followed by steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal and Spain's fifth-largest bank Bankia that rose 3.24 percent and 2.80 percent respectively.
Global operator of services and infrastructure Ferrovial went down 2.08 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. Chemical and pharmaceutical company Grifols lost 1.45 percent and consultancy and technology company Indra A lost 0.89 percent.
