Spanish shares rose on Thursday, with the benchmark Ibex-35 up 0.93 percent, or 97.9 percent points, to close at 10,658.30 points.
A total of 27 of the selected 35 large companies gained in the day.
Engineering and infrastructure company Tecnicas Reunidas advanced 2.91 percent, the top gainer, followed by insurance company Mapfre and supermarket chain DIA that rose 2.86 percent and 2.75 percent respectively.
Stainless steel manufacturer group Acerinox went down 1.25 percent, the top loser of the blue chips.
Chemical and pharmaceutical company Grifols lost 1.20 percent and Electricity supplier R.E.C. lost 0.44 percent.
