Spanish shares rose on Wednesday, with the benchmark Ibex-35 up 1.07 percent, or 50.9 points, to close at 10,560.40 points.

A total of 32 of the selected 35 large companies gained in the day.

Energy and infrastructure company Acciona advanced 3.25 percent, the top gainer, followed by Spain's energy company Iberdrola and telecommunication company Cellnex that rose 2.92 percent and 2.45 percent respectively.

Stainless steel manufacturer group Acerinox went down 2.16 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. Spain's fifth-largest bank Bankia lost 1.14 percent and Spain's second-largest bank BBVA lost 0.08 percent.
